Vytalize Value-Based Care Case Study

Vytalize Health, a physician-led accountable care organization (ACO), partnered with Red Duke Strategies to support a time-sensitive federal policy initiative with meaningful financial and operational implications. 

Vytalize manages care for over 400,000 patients across a national network of primary care providers, with a focus on improving outcomes while reducing total cost of care. The engagement focused on policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications related to federal accountable care programs.

The Opportunity

Evolving policy dynamics within the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI), particularly within the ACO REACH Model, introduced new complexities in benchmark calculations and financial predictability for participating organizations. 

Vytalize sought to further refine and accelerate its policy

strategy in response. This included strengthening its data-driven narrative, aligning internal and external messaging, and expanding engagement with federal stakeholders to ensure that real-world clinical performance and cost savings were accurately reflected in program design.

Vytalize also strengthened its engagement with federal stakeholders, refined its policy narrative, and established a more structured approach to advocacy and communications. The work helped position the organization as a credible, data-driven voice in value-based care policy, grounded in real-world clinical and operational performance.
